Eleanor Swanson had us all "Trembling in the Bones," as she read from her new book of poetry on Wednesday night, March 21, in the Mountain View Room. Amongst colleagues, faculty, students, friends, and family, Swanson, professor of English, performed her newest collection of poetry describing the shameful Ludlow Massacre of the early 1900s.
On March 13, "Portraits: Past and Present" by Sandra Wittow, made its debut in the O'Sullivan Art Gallery. Wittow explained, "Portraits" is the culmination of nine years of work resulting in a massive twenty-four piece collection on display. All of the portraits come in pairs.
It's been nearly twenty years since the ninja turtles first ruled the imaginations of boys and girls all over the country. That generation grew up, and for it, the ninja turtles' latest incarnation will prove to be less than 'totally rad'.
I am on a mission. It is a noble cause, I assure you: as I have been suffering in my mediocrity, and despite constant comments from my professors and colleagues that "I'm being too hard on myself"-I am not one to simply say, "enough is enough." I always want to be better.
