When I played the first "Gears of War" I thought to myself, "Man, it's really great bisecting those horrible Locust monsters with the chainsaw attached to the end of my assault rifle, but I feel like there could be more carnage." Needless to say, I was not disappointed by "Gears of War 2", where you can actually duel with chainsaws in a spark-filled extravaganza that ends with someone, or something, in two or more pieces on the floor.

The gizmos and gadgets of the previous films are long gone, and James Bond seems to have filled this techno-void with assault rifles and gratuitous bloodshed. Daniel Craig's new version of the ever-womanizing English agent was hugely popular in "Casino Royale" with his new edgy look, and this refreshingly violent image of Bond hasn't been tamed in the slightest.

The man isn't interested in talking.
"You don't see me," he mumbles, scurrying past the Collegian reporter, a duffel bag under arm. "Not here."
He, a lanky pale figure who could pass as the Unabomber's protégé in his black hoodie and baseball cap, makes his way to the tiny stage in the corner of the room.
